About

Our lives are made up of habits.

If they are good habits, they serve us.  If they are bad habits, we serve them.  Small business people in particular should think of marketing like flossing your teeth.  You need to do it all the time and done right it doesn’t take a lot of time or money.  The benefits are huge.  The downside if you don’t… Let’s not go there.  The bottom line is that you can get the majority of benefit from a relatively small input.  The trick is what to input and where.

You can only learn from experience – it can be your own experience or that of someone else.

Both kinds work, but learning from some one else’s experience hurts less.

The purpose of this blog is quite simple, which is why I will keep my entries extremely short.

The followers of Socrates learned more because he asked them questions, instead of giving them answers.  He knew that answers discourage thought, questions stimulate it.  So the next time someone tells you that they know just what your business needs (without knowing anything about you) put one hand on your wallet.  By the way, you don’t do that to your clients do you?
